Welcome to the Chaos!

Hello all and welcome to the wild and chaotic world we live in. My name is Kaitlyn, I am 25, and I am a recent US Air Force disabled veteran who also happens to be a new mom! I want to express how grateful I am for all my readers. I decided to start a blog that is not only useful but also tells it like it is. I will not beat around the bush nor will I give information about things I have not experienced or have researched. My research will be backed by sources and my experiences will be backed by "just trust me bro".

So why start blogging now?

I decided to start blogging after I found my love for writing again. Since graduating with my bachelors in 2023, I have missed writing and doing research. I have been on maternity leave for about a month now and after getting a routine down, I figured I needed something else to consume my time. Back in elementary school, I decided I really loved to write when we had an assignment where we take a picture and tell a story. This was a simple picture of the doors to a custodial room. I was able to let my imagination run wild. I looked up new words and found the meaning of them in order to make my story colorful. As I got into high school and we had to write book reports, I found my love for reading a story and writing about it after reading The Great Gatsby. I even watched the movie after reading the book, which is not something I am a fan of. Once I got to college and started studying criminal justice, I found my love for research. Throughout my research I learned a lot that has actually helped me in the "real world". Now, as someone who is on leave and learning the ropes of motherhood, I wanted to share my love and experiences with all of you.

What will your posts be about?

On this website, Companions of Chaos, I will be sharing the ultimate guides, how-to guides, personal experiences, and just for fun posts. The ultimate guides will be based on what I have found works for me. These are solely based on advice and what has personally worked in my household. This will also be the how-to guides on anything and everything. If I have experienced it, I will share how I did it. Some of these posts will have links to products along with where I found some information along my journey. My personal experience posts will be about things I have seen and done. Want to join the military? Let me tell you my experience. About to have a baby? Let me share my experience. These will be the posts where you have to "just trust me bro". Lastly, the just for fun posts will be just that, for fun. I find blogs about different things, like which dog breed is the smartest, pretty interesting. These will be just that. Posts about what I find interesting and all the research I put into finding out about the subject. These are designed to help you with information you may be missing or information you wish to use in making decisions. My fun posts are named for the fun I find in creating them.

Why Companions of Chaos?

I chose the name because I see myself as someone you can run to when you need advice or someone to get your mind off things. The definition of companion, according to Google, is a person or animal with whom one spends alot of time with. We all spend lots of time with chaos as we go through life. Therefore, we are all considered companions of chaos. I chose the word chaos, not only because of my favorite Hollywood Undead song, but also because the world is of complete disorder and confusion. I only now see being an adult is being in a constant state of confusion.

I hope you all find as much joy in reading my posts as I do writing them. Here we go, together, down a rabbit hole!
