As a new mom, there are very few things I feel as though I can share and swear by as my baby and his needs are always changing. While I have been breastfeeding and supplementing with formula, there are a few things that have made my life easier. Between hands free breast pumps and teas helping with lactation, I have found some things that work. The fun and exciting, yet frustrating, thing about being a new mom is being able to take all the different products and compare them side to side along with personal recommendations of other moms. Some of these items I researched on my own, some I learned from seasoned moms, and some were the popular choice among others.

These are the best breast pumps I have found. They can be a little pricey coming in at $199.99 on Amazon but it is worth it. They come with the charging cables, a nipple measuring tool, and different sized flanges for different nipple sizes. My favorite thing about these is the light and hands free feature. You charge them up, set them in your bra, and let the pumps do the rest. There are three different modes, one for expression, one for stimulation, and one that is mized! Mom Cozy Temp Sensing Breast Milk Storing Bags
I swear by these breast milk bags. They come in a pack of 50 for $7.97, 120 for $19.99, or 200 for $28.49. They have a seal you tear off before using ensuring they are sterile along with a tight seal so it doesn't spill! I love the temp sensing feature because it tells you when cold, hot, or optimum temperature for feeding time. At the top it also has a place for you to write how much along with the date. We use them for milk that goes in the freezer to be used at a later time. They are linked in my amazon store front below.
Traditional Mothers Milk Tea
I heard about this tea from 2 other moms who were having trouble bringing in their milk supply but also maintaining it. One thing I have learned is sometimes it is hard to keep up with feedings when you are not producing as much as your baby is needing. I drink this tea, with one packet of sweet-n-low, at least 3 times a day. It is used to promote healthy lactation. I do have to say it is an acquired taste and feels like you are eating black liquorice the first time you drink it. The link to. my amazon store front is below!
Phillips Avent Premium Fast Bottle Warmer
Need to quickly warm up a bottle for your fussy baby in the middle of the night? This is the perfect thing for that. All you do is put enough water in the warmer to the amount of breast milk or formula in the bottle and then press the start button. There are numbers around the start button based on the amount of milk in the bottle allowing the correct time to equally warm all milk. We have sworn by this since his first ight at home. Medela Nipple Shield
If you have a baby that was in the NICU, this product is a must have. Our baby was in the NICU for a week and was given a bottle right away. This made it very difficult for him to try to latch. The nipple shield allows your baby to feel like they are drinking from a bottle while breast feeding. It is a nice transition from bottle to boob. There are different sizes depending on your nipple size so make sure you choose the right one. Linked below for my amazon store front.

While you are nursing, you will find you are dying for water. In my case, I was and needed a pick me up for hydration. I noticed I was not taking enough water in to keep myself hydrated while also breast pumping. I drink one of these packets every morning with a bottle of water to try to stay hydrate throughout the day during pumping.
